Middle School Boy's and Girl's Coed Tennis Team starts March 5
All Newark boy's and girl's middle school students who are interested in playing on the team this spring can plan to attend the first practice from 5 to 6 p.m. on Monday, March 5. 2018-19 school year calendar now available
The Newark Board of Education approved the 2018-19 school year calendar during its February 12 regular meeting. The calendar is available by clicking on this link. The first day of school will be on Tuesday, Aug. 21, with the holiday break lasting from Fri., Dec. 21 through Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019. Spring Break will be the week of March 25, and the last day of school will be on Thursday, May 30.  Read More...

Every month, Newark City Schools honors 28 students in grades 4 through 12 in each of our buildings as Citizens of the Month. Students are chosen not only for their work inside the classroom, but also their leadership outside the classroom. This month's luncheon was sponsored by the Newark Lions Club.
