Jeff Quackenbush stepped into the athletic director position in July 2010. He is not new to the Newark school district or community. He has been coaching the basketball team for ten years. In 2008, the team won the state championship.
Jeff is a 1991 graduate of Newark High School and was a member of the 1990 and 1991 district championship teams. He earned a scholarship to St. Bonaventure in Olean, New York and graduated in 1995.
Upon graduating from college, he returned to Newark and began his teaching career. He taught at Ben Franklin, Maholm and North Elementary schools. Most recently, he was a health teacher at Newark High School.
