The Food Service oversees the operation of a central kitchen and deliveries to all Newark schools and other nearby schools. The kitchen provides over 4,000 meals daily to our students, staff, and their families.
Lunch Prices
High School, Middle School and Elementary Students - $2.25
Milk $.50
Breakfast $1.25
Reduced-price lunch(for those who qualify) $.40
Reduced-price breakfast (for those who qualify) $.30
All Newark City Schools serve breakfast.
NCS Food Service also participates in the Free & Reduced Price Lunch Program, providing meals at no cost or a reduced price of 40 cents to students whose families meet certain income guidelines. Reduced-price lunches cost $.40 while reduced-price breakfast costs $.30.
Applications are available in school offices or by contacting Julie VanDine at 328-2036. We cannot approve an application that is not complete, so be sure to fill out all required information. One application may be used for all children living in the same household. It is not necessary to complete an application for each child (except foster children). Please return the application to your child’s school.
Applications for free and reduced price meals are confidential. They will be used only to determine eligibility. They may be verified at any time during the school year by school or other program officials. |
