The Human Resources department is dedicated to the recruitment and retention of a quality workforce in support of student success. The Newark school district employs over 800 people, including teachers, support staff and administrators who provide services to over 6,000 students.

How to Apply for Teaching and Substitute Positions
If you are interested in joining our team as a full-time teacher or substitute, please complete an application at www.ohreap.net. Remember, in order to be a substitute teacher, you must have a bachelor's degree. Upon completing the application, please call our the Certified Personnel office and let us know you have submitted your application.

How to Apply for Classified Positions
If you are interested in working in the school district as a member of our support staff (secretary, bus driver, custodian, aide or food service), please complete the application located on the right. We do not, however, post many full-time

classified positions because we fill those jobs from our pool of substitute employees. Upon completing an application, please bring it to the Administrative Service Center, 85 E. Main St., Newark, Ohio 43055.
