NCS providing lunches for school-aged children on Mondays and Fridays in June

A Newark City Schools bus will be visiting various spots across the district to provide free lunches to school-aged children, from ages 2 to 18, on Mondays and Fridays from June 4 through June 29.

Staff members will be available to answer questions about registering for school, as well as for our Kindergarten Academy. The Academy runs for four days per week in July. Click here for more information on the Kindergarten Readiness Academy.
This program is in addition to Summer Food Service Sites offered daily throughout the city. Learn more about that program at this link.

Stops across the city will be at the following spots:

11-11:30: Market Basket on Cedar
12-12:30:  Lookup Center on O’Bannon
1-1:30: Washington Square Apartments

John Clem:
11: John Clem Elementary
12: Hoover Apartments
1: Buckingham/Commodore Streets

Cherry Valley:
11-11:30: Cherry Valley Elementary
12-12:30: McMillen Woods Apartments
1-1:30: Reddington Road

Ben Franklin:
11-11:30: Mound City/Little Texas entrance
11:45-12:15: Everett Avenue Apartments
12:30-1: 6th Street Community Garden

11:15: Veteran’s Park
12:15: Maholm School
1:15: Newark Naz

11:15: Glenbrook Apartments
