NHS Class of 2018 headed to 30-plus colleges, 5 military branches

164 members of the Newark High School Class of 2018 have indicated that they plan to attend a post-secondary institution or join the military following graduation. NHS celebrated the students during the first Signing Day event. 2014 NHS graduate Stephanie Wentzel spoke with the seniors, before they shared their after-school plans. Within this year's graduation class, students are enlisting in all five branches of the military; two students are attending the Career and Technology Education Centers of Licking County; and students are attending more than 30 different colleges and universities in eight states. Though that number could rise through the summer, here is where our graduates tell us they're headed.

While the majority are staying in Ohio — attending Ohio State, Ohio University, Kent State, Cincinnati, COTC and more — 2018 graduates are also headed to the University of Oregon, Mississippi State University, Northern Oklahoma College, the University of Kentucky and the University of South Carolina. Click on the flags to find out where they're headed, and how many graduates are going there.
