Newark High School viola players Taylor Jacobs and Noel Zarnosky will perform in the East Central Region Orchestra at Ashland High School in November. The students were selected for the group following tryouts earlier this year. The region encompasses 21 Ohio counties, stretching from Delaware to Belmont, and Richland to Washington. The orchestra will meet at Ashland High School on November 17 and 18, with a culminating performance at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18.
Jacobs, a senior, was also selected as an alternate for the all-state orchestra. Congratulations to both students!
