Strategic Plan

A 25-member Planning Team developed in Spring 2006 the beliefs, mission, parameters, objectives and strategies for an updated five-year Strategic Plan.

“The Strategic Plan is the basis for all school improvement activities that will occur in the district over the next five years,” Assistant Superintendent Dan Montgomery said. “It was developed by students, staff, parents and community members.”

Staffs, parents, community members and other volunteers are developing action plans in small committees.

Each Action Team will meet 10 times to develop action plans in Fall 2006. Those action plans will be reviewed by the Planning Team and submitted to the Newark Board of Education in January 2007. The completed Strategic Plan will be implemented soon afterward.
