American Red Cross - Blood Services provides a safe blood supply and blood products through voluntary blood donations. Disaster Services provides immediate relief to victims of disaster and educates the public on how to prepare for a disaster. Services to the Armed Forces – provides emergency communications between active duty military personnel and their families, emergency support to active duty military personnel and their families, and support services to military veterans and their family members. These programs are unfunded congressional mandates.
 
Goodwill - Youth Works give out-of-school youth, ages 16-21, who have barriers to employment, paid work experience and classroom involvement to explore career opportunities and gain invaluable work and life skills leading to successful employment. Youth can also gain academic credit needed for graduation requirements.
 
Licking County Aging Program - Nutrition Program provides meals at no charge, in both congregate settings and home delivery, to senior citizens who are unable to prepare a meal for themselves and who have no one else to assist them on a regular basis. The program relieves isolation, provides a nutritionally balanced meal and helps seniors remain independent. In addition, the program provides an opportunity for socialization and education through classes offered at congregate meal sites in Newark, Heath, Buckeye Lake, Johnstown, Pataskala and Utica.
 
Licking County Coalition for Housing - Project Homeline provides emergency financial assistance, budget counseling, case management, mediation and coordination of local resources to prevent homelessness. Also provides a data base of affordable housing resources for the community at large. Transitional Housing Program provides short-term housing and supportive services to homeless persons and assists their successful return to permanent housing. These programs provide literacy information and age appropriate books to parents with children under the age of 5 years who come into the agency for services.
 
Pathways 211 - Crisis/Hotline and Information Center www.pathwaysofcentralohio.com – 24/7 crisis intervention, crisis management and information and referral phone service diminishes caller stress, provides referrals and/or a plan of action and is part of the Community Crisis Response System. The 2-1-1 Crisis/Hotline has an on-line resource directory for use by the general public and professionals in the community.
 
Salvation Army - Comprehensive Emergency Assistance addresses the immediate crisis needs of clients by providing a ‘safety net’ of services- emergency shelter; utility and rent/mortgage assistance; food assistance; daily soup kitchen serving lunch and dinner; back-to-school supplies; and summer nutritional program (breakfast, lunch and snack) for children.
 
Woodlands - New Beginnings Shelter and Services provides supportive services and safe shelter to escape a domestic violence situation. Multiple services assist and empower victims through the process of becoming a survivor and achieving long-term independence from an abusive partner- decreasing the number of adults and children living in domestic violence.
