Apps and Services
The Newark City School District uses a variety of online apps and services that are critical for delivering a high quality, standards-aligned education. All apps and services go through a rigorous review process for both curriculum alignment and safety/security.
Approved apps and services
The vast majority of K-12 app/service providers submit detailed student data privacy agreements (DPAs) specific to Ohio's requirements. NCS's DPA database is available here.
Additional apps and services
Some providers critical to the district's instructional and extra-curricular programs do not provide Ohio-specific DPAs. The following list includes these apps and a description of their instructional usage at Newark City Schools, along with the providers' Terms of Service and Privacy Policies. Parent consent is required annually to permit students access to these tools.
