SENIORS - Graduation Information: Caps, Gowns, and Tassels

Directions for NCS Digital Graduates ordering Cap, Gown, and Tassel for Graduation with Newark High School May 27, 2023

Select the tab called “GRADUATION” from the pull-down menu
Select “Caps & Gowns”
Under the title “Caps & Gowns,” select the box “Shop Now”
Select the pop-up box and type “Newark High School” and press enter or return
Select “Newark High School, Newark OH”
Scroll down the page until you see a box that says “SHOP CAPS AND GOWNS”
Click on the box “SHOP CAPS AND GOWNS”
Click on the words that say “SHOP GRAD PRODUCTS”
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the green box with writing in it that says “Continue
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the green box with writing in it that says “Continue
Shopping”. This will be the second time pressing the button.
A new screen will show and you need to scroll down to the bottom of the page and select “Continue

The screen will change and you will see “Keepsakes” and you will see the Cap, Gown & Tassel Unit
for $35.95 (this price will increase the closer we get to May 2023). I know our colors are maroon and
white, but the gown will only show in black. Don’t worry, the company knows the boy’s gowns are
maroon and the girl’s gowns are white. Select the “gown icon.”
Another window will open and you must “select the graduate’s gender, height (with shoes), and
weight.” Next, you will see the price of the cap, gown, and tassel right above the green “Add to Cart”
button. Once you have filled in all the information, you must press the green button “Add to Cart.” If
you are not done shopping, select the “Continue Shopping button.” However, if you are done
shopping, you click on the “X” to close the window and continue with the directions below.
You will see a grocery cart at the top right hand of the screen and it will say “1 Item.” Click on the cart.
Select the gray “Checkout” button. You will see the item(s) you have ordered along with the subtotal,
sales tax, and total. If this is all you are ordering, select the green “Checkout” button which is found
below the total. Next, you will type in the student information--shipping, and billing information and
then confirm your order.

November 2022 Citizens of the Month

Every month, Newark City Schools honors 30 students in grades 4-12 in a district-wide Citizen of the Month Luncheon. These students were chosen as they displayed acts of leadership, kindness and service in the classroom and around the school. November 2022's event took place on was sponsored by Park National Bank. Calling All Juniors!!

ACT Practice Test Day
For NHS and NCSD Juniors who want to do their best on the February 28th ACT.  The best way to determine a timing and preparation strategy is to take a practice ACT under timed conditions.  Participating students will take a retired version of the ACT and experience the test environment, layout and format of questions first-hand. All practice tests will be scored by A Call to College in order to provide students with recommendations for improvement and personalized preparation tips. NCS "Take 5" Winners

Newark City Schools wants to celebrate its many great staff members who are making the district a great place for opportunity and learning. Every week, NCS staff members "take 5" minutes to nominate a colleague who is going above and beyond. The nominees' names are entered into a random draw. The award winners are surprised at work at the end of the week, and we will reveal the weekly winners every Monday.
