Every month, Newark City Schools honors 30 students in grades 4 through 12 from across the district as Citizens of the Month, for their leadership and actions inside and outside of the classroom. Students and their families are invited to a lunch in their honor to celebrate their achievements. The October 2023 Citizen of the Month luncheon was sponsored by Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral Home. Newark High School's Modern Movement performed during the event. Congratulations to all of this month's students. You can find a photo album on Facebook by clicking here.
