Position: School Psychologist

Qualifications/Requirements:
Applicant must:
- possess valid Ohio School Psychologist certificate. Prefer candidate with Master’s Degree and
Certificate of Clinical Competence
- be aware of the social and emotional needs of each individual student
- possess strong oral and written communication skills
- demonstrate an understanding of child development
- demonstrate a strong understanding of effective interventions for students with pervasive developmental disorders
- demonstrate the ability to work, collaborate and communicate with parents, students, and staff in a school setting
- demonstrate the ability to assess student needs and determine appropriate recommendations
- be familiar with developmental patterns of children & youth
- be willing to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- document recent professional growth activities
- possess knowledge and understanding of various individual ability, achievement tests, behavior assessments, and working memory assessments
- be resourceful in working with staff and parents to plan appropriate intervention
- demonstrate knowledge of the Ohio Model Policies and Procedures for the Education of Children with Disabilities
- be acceptable to the Director of Student Services and Assistant Superintendent of Certificated/Licensed Personnel
