School Psychologist
Position:  School Psychologist

Qualifications/Requirements:
  Applicant must:
 
  • possess valid Ohio School Psychologist certificate. Prefer candidate with Master’s Degree and
Certificate of Clinical Competence
  • be aware of the social and emotional needs of each individual student
  • possess strong oral and written communication skills
  • demonstrate an understanding of child development
  • demonstrate a strong understanding of effective interventions for students with pervasive developmental disorders
  • demonstrate the ability to work, collaborate and communicate with parents, students, and staff in a school setting
  • demonstrate the ability to assess student needs and determine appropriate recommendations
  • be familiar with developmental patterns of children & youth
  • be willing to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • document recent professional growth activities
  • possess knowledge and understanding of various individual ability, achievement tests, behavior assessments, and working memory assessments
  • be resourceful in working with staff and parents to plan appropriate intervention
  • demonstrate knowledge of the Ohio Model Policies and Procedures for the Education of Children with Disabilities
  • be acceptable to the Director of Student Services and Assistant Superintendent of Certificated/Licensed Personnel

Interested staff members must respond in writing to the Personnel Office via hand delivery or e-mail no later than 4:00 p.m. of the last day of the posting.  Positions will be posted for 5 working days (3 working days during June and July and 1 working day August 1 to September 1).
