NHS Jr. ROTC receives Silver Star Community Service Award
The Newark High School Jr. ROTC received the Silver Star Community Service with Excellence Award for the 2014-15 school year, the Department of the Air Force announced recently. The award recognizes the top five percent of all Jr. ROTC units based on community service in support of schools and local communities. It is based on the highest per cadet average of community service hours planned and conducted by cadets in a unit. The NHS unit was led by Kathryn Davis.
