Biographical Information:

Jennifer is in her 9th year of teaching at Newark Digital Academy. She has been a high school Intervention Specialist, working with students in grades 8-12, during her time at NDA. She has also served as the unofficial Spanish tutor, until a real Spanish tutor could be found. She began an ACT/OGT prep class to help students achieve passing/proficient test scores to graduate. Jennifer volunteered at the YES Clubhouse as an afterschool tutor, as well as offered offsite tutoring at the Ohio Means Jobs office when it was still Opportunity Links.

Jennifer is involved with the Delta Kappa Gamma International Teacher Society. She began the Beta Delta chapter newsletter during the 2018-2019 school year. She will be serving on the DKG Alpha Delta State Organization Policies and Procedures Committee this year, as well as continuing the newsletter for Beta Delta.

Jennifer is also involved in music, both through her church in Zanesville and a community concert band. She sings alto in the Chancel Choir at Central Trinity United Methodist Church, and has played in the hand bell choir. She also has played either euphonium or trombone in the Zanesville Memorial Concert Band since she was a 10th grader.

Jennifer has three cats that are her spoiled rotten fur babies. Her oldest, a cream colored tabby named Fabian, is a rescue from YES Club. The clubhouse couldn’t keep him anymore, so she took him in. Fabian has been a part of the family for 9 years. Fabian’s younger sisters, a domestic medium hair named Wiley and a black and grey short hair tabby named Indy, joined the family 5 years ago as 9 week old kittens. Wiley is named after Wile E. Coyote from Loony Tunes, she is a stealth ninja. Indy is named after Indiana Jones, she always finds herself in some sort of a jam.

Jennifer is in the building for tutoring Monday through Friday from 8-3:30. Appointments are encouraged so that every student gets the help that they need.
