My name is Baron Smith and I have been an employee in Newark City Schools for three years now.
I was born and raised in Newark, Ohio. I always attended Newark Public Schools. I graduated from Newark High School in 2006. While at NHS, I played football, was involved in class and student council, and enjoyed my experience. I attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio after high school. I graduated from Ohio University in 2011 with a Bachelors Degree in Education. I was hired at Newark High School shortly after graduating from Ohio University. I am a tenth grade history teacher at NHS and am the head middle school football coach here in Newark, Ohio. I was fortunate enough to get married on July 13, 2012. I care about my students, players, and community very much and will be here to help out as much as I can.
