Yearbook distribution will begin on Tuesday, May 21st, and run through Friday, May 24th. Students can pick up their yearbooks from Room #E202 at the high school. Yearbooks will also be available for pick-up in the Main Office over the summer. All yearbooks have been sold or reserved. No purchases or refunds will be given during distribution. Please email questions to nhsyearbook@newarkcityschools.org.Seniors---graduation is less than two weeks away! Please check your 12th-grade Google Classroom for announcements. Seniors – if you still owe school fees, they must be paid by cash or credit card. The district office cannot accept checks this late in the year as checks will not clear in time for graduation.Newark City Schools will again provide transportation for graduation to White Field for guests. Shuttle buses will run from 8 am and again when the graduation ceremony concludes. Buses will run on a continuous loop from the main high school gym parking lot to the home stands at White Field. Buses will be available to accommodate wheelchairs and special needs. And remember, Church Street is closed for bridge construction. If you want to avoid the traffic and parking, please take advantage of this free shuttle.

Every Month, Newark City Schools honors 30 students in grades 4 through 12 from across the district as Citizens of the Month, for their leadership and actions inside and outside of the classroom. Students and their families are invited to a lunch in their honor to celebrate their achievements. The May Citizen of the Month luncheon was sponsored by Marathon. High school musicians from the band and orchestra programs each performed: a saxophone quartet, a horn and flute duet, and a viola quartet. You can view a Facebook photo album by clicking this link.
