NHS Band hosting Spirit Night fundraiser at Cane's on Oct. 23

The Newark High School Band Parents Club is hosting a Spirit Night Fundraiser at Cane's in Heath from 5 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 23. 20 percent of all funds will be donated to the band. Triple P Stepping Stones Seminar Series

Triple P Stepping Stones Seminar Series is for YOU! Helping you to manage problem behavior and developmental issues common in children with disabilities, Stepping Stones is based on Triple P’s Positive Parenting Strategies. Learn to encourage behavior you like, cope with stress, develop a close relationship with your child and teach your child new skills. October 2017 Citizens of the Month

Every month, Newark City Schools honors about 28 students from grades 4 through 12 in every school as our Citizens of the Month. Students are chosen for what they do both inside and outside of the classroom. Also every month, a different group from one of our schools performs for students and their families. Teachers win Licking County Leaders for Learning Awards

Three Newark City Schools teachers received Leaders for Learning Awards from the Licking County Foundation today. The awards are given to 14 teachers across the county every year, and include a $500 yearly grant opportunity. Congratulations to NHS Math Teacher Chris Haren, Heritage science teacher Ashley Schultz and McGuffey Elementary 1st grade teacher Lori Schultz on receiving the awards.
