Mr. Michael Blowers was employed as a music teacher by the Newark City School District from 1987 to 1996 and retired as the director of choral studies and activities for the Coshocton City School District and as the district’s music department head in 2018.
Blowers graduated from Otterbein (College) University in 1981 with his bachelors in music education and graduated from Ashland University in 2001 with his masters in educational administration.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Mr. Blowers has coached youth baseball, junior league fast-pitch softball, junior high track and Upward Basketball. He has also served as a 4-H advisor and band booster parent. Currently as an online student of Constitutional Law through Hillsdale College, Mr. Blowers continues his interest in politics as well as his passion for education studies through Communicate Institute, Walsh University and Ashland University.
Blowers is the Executive Director of American Crossroads Song and Dance Company. He is also the organist for Saint Francis DeSales Church.
Married for 30-plus years, Mike and his wife Martha Ann have three adult children who graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene, Ashland and Walsh Universities.
