Custodian II
Qualifications:
1. Must be able to read, write and maintain records as required.
2. Must be capable of following written or verbal instructions.
3. Must maintain dress and appearance conductive to school work.
4. Requires lifting of a minimum of (50) fifty pounds.
5. Must have a good attendance record.
Reports to: Supervisors of Buildings and Grounds and Building Principal.
Job Goal: To provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean and
efficient place in which to learn, play and develop.
It is important to note that the following duties are to provide a general outline and not to be construed as limited specific duties covering all possible day-to-day activities. From time-to-time there may be other duties assigned.
Performance Responsibilities:
1. Sweep classrooms, restrooms, halls and office areas daily as assigned. Damp mop or spot mop.
2. Clean and sanitize restrooms daily as assigned. Clean mirrors.
3. Wash desks and doors on a regular schedule.
4. Dust shelves, windowsills, and other dust gathering surfaces daily.
5. Empty wastebaskets and take trash to a centralized container for disposal daily.
6. Clean chalkboards and chalk runs daily.
7. Clean windows inside and out (weather permitting) on a regular spring/fall schedule and as needed.
8. Scrub, wax and buff floors at specific times throughout the year.
9. During times of inclement weather, floors are to be wet mopped, dry mopped, or cleaned as needed.
10. Pick up trash outside of the building.
11. Take all trash to the dumpster.
12. All other duties assigned.
