Opening Move / Book Introduction: In this story, water evolves or changes into many different things. At the end, apples are changing too! As you are listening, think about how things evolve or change. 


Stopping Point #1: (pg. 7) What have the clouds changed to in the illustrations? How do you know?


Stopping Point #2: (pg. 12) What do you think the rain will become? Use the text to guide your thinking. 


Stopping Point #3: (pg. 25 - end) What could the apples become? How might they change? 


Writing about Reading related to the read aloud text: 

How will the apples change? What will they become?

Tasks: 

Math: Play Fuzz Bugs Graphing


Use the link to get a weather tracking paper and graph paper. Record the temperature for each day this week.  Did the temperature go up? Did it go down? What is a pattern you are noticing? Use your data to create a bar graph showing the temperature changes.

Needed Materials:  

Math: Blank paper or print out of graph paper, Access to a device 

STEM: Empty pop bottle, measuring cup, ½ c water, ½ c rubbing alcohol, food coloring, straw, modeling clay (or tape), permanent marker
