The school district schedules a late arrival day each month to provide teachers and staff a time for additional training and planning. With this time, teachers of a particular grade level or subject can collaborate and discuss new teaching ideas and methods or attend a training session.
On a day designated for Late Arrival, school starts two hours later. Transportation services are available and students will be picked up two hours later. So if the bus arrives at the stop each morning at 8 a.m., it will pick up students at 10 a.m. on the Late Arrival day.
Breakfast is available at the high school and middle schools, but it is not served at the elementary level.
