Citizens of the Month, January 2018

January 2018 Citizens of the Month

Every month, Newark City Schools honors 28 students in grades 4 through 12 in each of our buildings as Citizens of the Month. Students are chosen not only for their work inside the classroom, but also their leadership outside the classroom. This month's luncheon was sponsored by the Newark Kiwanis Club. NHS Drama to perform The Outsiders Jan. 24 and 25

Newark High School Drama is performing the classic story, The Outsiders, at 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 24 and 25, in the NHS Auditorium. Tickets cost $5 at the door. The story follows members of two rival gangs, focusing on the teenage protagonist — Ponygirl Curtis — as she grows up with her older sisters. More +
