Hillview students Ariana Morris, Gunner Bobo, and Rylie Shonebarger, under the guidance of teachers Kelsey Weisent and Tosha Cooperrider, were declared the winners of the Ohio STEM Learning Network’s 2025 STATE Challenge in the elementary age group.
Newark City Schools proudly announces the official naming of its new turf practice field for the Pride of Newark Marching Band as Randall Lamb Field in honor of former band director Randy Lamb, who led the program with distinction from 1980 to 2008.
Newark City Schools celebrates 30 students every month who are recognized for doing the right thing. The students and their families are honored during a luncheon that is sponsored by a local business and features entertainment from a group within the district. The January luncheon was sponsored by Newark Lions Club. It also featured a performance by 8th grade orchestra students from Wilson Middle School. Congratulations to all of our students who were honored during the February 2025 event.
