Mitten Tree and Holiday giving at Cherry Valley

GIVING BACK 2022

Week 1 = November 28th, 29th, 30th and December 1 and 2 

There will be a “Mitten Tree” in the lobby.  If you are able to donate a new pair of mittens (or a hat or a scarf), please attach them to the tree this week.  All items will be donated to the Licking County Coalition of Housing.  We will also be collecting new blankets that are in the original packaging.  
 
Week 2 = December 5th -9th 
This week we will be collecting food items for the Licking County Food Pantry.  If you are able, please send the item/items to school with your child on the designated day.  There will be someone collecting items each morning in the lobby.
 
Monday – canned vegetables and/or canned fruit
Tuesday – canned soup and/or crackers
Wednesday – peanut butter and/or jelly
Thursday – boxed pasta and/or pasta sauce
Friday – boxed cereal and/or syrup
 
Also the week of Dec. 5-9, we will be collecting quarters.  We will donate the money to the Food Pantry Network to buy their most needed items.

November 2022 Citizens of the Month

Every month, Newark City Schools honors 30 students in grades 4-12 in a district-wide Citizen of the Month Luncheon. These students were chosen as they displayed acts of leadership, kindness and service in the classroom and around the school. November 2022's event took place on was sponsored by Park National Bank.
