Elementary tennis camp set for July 8-12

Newark High School is hosting a tennis camp from 6 to 8 p.m. July 8-12 at the NHS tennis courts for boys and girls entering grades 1-5 next school year. The camp will include coaching from Newark high school and middle school tennis coaches and varsity tennis players from the boys and girls teams. Summer Foreign Language Camp available for students in grades 4-6

A Foreign Language Camp for Newark City Schools students currently in grades 4-6 will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on July 22 through July 26 at Newark High School. The camp is free and open to the first 35 students to register in each language — Spanish and French. During the week, students will learn basic French or Spanish, learn cultural songs and games, prepare and eat traditional foods, hear traditional stories and create crafts.
