On Wednesday, April 26, we are inviting the community to start and continue a conversation on the impact of drugs in our community and across the nation. Author and Journalist Sam Quinones will speak that evening in the Newark High School Auditorium on the topic. We invite everyone to the Newark High School Auditorium at 6:30 p.m. on April 26 to hear Mr. Quinones speak. March 2017 Citizens of the Month

Every month, Newark City Schools honors about 28 students from grades 4 through 12 in every school as our Citizens of the Month. Students are chosen for what they do both inside and outside of the classroom. This month, the Carson Elementary Choir performed for the families. STEM Camp 2017 set for June 19-23

The Newark City School District is offering its second annual, free weeklong STEM Camp from June 19 through 23 this summer. Last year's camp allowed students to explore coding, circuits, 3D printing, robotics and more. The camp is for students who have completed grades 3 through 8. Kindergarten registration begins April 3

With spring approaching, it’s now time to start thinking about registering your child for kindergarten. Newark City Schools is holding its annual Kindergarten Registration period during the weeks of April 3-7 and April 10-13 at our district office, the former Roosevelt Middle School at 621 Mount Vernon Road.
