Wildcat boys Cat Camp set for June

The Newark Wildcat Basketball Cat Camp is now accepting registration for summer sessions in June for boys in grades 1 through 12. The camp provides the foundation for young players to develop basketball skills, and welcomes children of all talent levels. Keeping PACE Workshop: Understanding Sensory Processing Disorder

This DON'T MISS Workshop, presented by Kareen Robbins MS OTR/L, is designed for parents, teachers and service providers of children with sensory processing difficulties. Join us as we learn more about the sensory system and find solutions to sensory behaviors which may be causing stress at home and school. The workshop will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tues., Feb. 26, in the Newark City Schools Administrative Service Center, 621 Mount Vernon Road. The calendars for the 2019-20 and 2020-21 school years are now available by visiting our Calendars webpage, available here. The 2019-20 school year will begin for students on Thurs., Aug. 22, with the year ending Thurs., May 29, 2020. For 2020-21, the school year will begin on Tues., Aug. 18, and end on Tues., May 25. Officials from Newark City Schools, the Newark Police Department, the Newark Fire Department and the Newark Mayor’s Office discussed school safety on Mon., Jan. 28, in the Newark High School Commons.
