March 2017 Citizens of the Month

Every month, Newark City Schools honors about 28 students from grades 4 through 12 in every school as our Citizens of the Month. Students are chosen for what they do both inside and outside of the classroom. This month, the Carson Elementary Choir performed for the families. Athletic physicals set for May 23 and 24

Athletic physicals set for May 23 and 24

Athletic physicals for students currently in grades 6 through 11 will cost $10 and begin at 5 p.m. on the following dates at the main Newark High School gym. 8 students performed at OSU Middle School Honor Band Festival

Eight Newark City Schools students performed at the Ohio State Middle School Honor Band Festival recently. One of the groups was conducted by Liberty Middle School Band Director Diana Wightman. The students involved include: Kora Stephey and Aisayah Akens from Heritage; Austin Frias, Michala Orth and Emily Dietz from Liberty; and Brandon Jackson, Savannah Justice and RJ Sands from Wilson.
